In order to confirm your booking we will require a 20% deposit. Full payment will be required for bookings made where the hire commencement date falls within 21 days

Once you have confirmed your booking you will receive an email confirmation detailing what you have paid and when the balance will be due. You will also receive a copy of this hire agreement which you can electronically sign along with details of what documentation you are required to bring on the day of hire. This info can also be found on our website FAQ’s

Additional criteria: 

  • Must meet the specified age limits within your policy and have at least 2 years driving experience (Full UK or EU Licence types)

  • Two, 3 point convictions are acceptable (i.e. 2x SP30’s, 3pts each) without referral. Single convictions totalling 6 points+ will require insurance referral

  • No more than one fault or outstanding incident/claim in the last three years

  • Photocard Driving Licence (showing your current address)

    if you are not able to produce these items upon collection we will not be able to proceed with your hire as our insurance will not insure you on the vehicle. In this case you will forfeit any fees already paid. 


The following persons are excluded from driving our vehicles

  • Drivers under 25 or over 75 years of age (unless agreed in writing)

  • Drivers who have held a full driving license for less than two years.

  • Drivers who have had their insurance declined and/or renewal refused and/or special insurance terms imposed as a result of their claims experience and/or have had their insurance or cover cancelled by any Motor Insurer.

  • Drivers engaged wholly or partly in professional entertainment or professional sports.

  • Drivers who have any mental defect or infirmity or suffers from fits or any heart complaint.

  • Drivers must not have had their licence suspended for any period within the last three years.

  • Drivers must not have been involved in more than one fault incident within the last three years.

  • Drivers must not have more than two convictions with a maximum of 3 points per conviction.

  • Drivers must not have obtained a BA,DD or UT conviction

  • Drivers must declare if there are any special endorsements or special conditions that apply to their license to drive.

  • Drivers must declare at time of booking all of the above. Failure to disclose such claims may result of refusal of hire should this information come to light prior to collecting the vehicle. 


Cancellation and Bookings

Cancellations must be in made via email & confirmed via telephone


  • If you cancel your booking more than 21 days before the start of the hire, you will forfeit the booking deposit.

  • If you cancel your booking within 21 days before the start date, or fail to show for the hire start date, you will forfeit any deposit and hire fees that you have already paid.


  • If you fail to bring the correct documentation & proofs required to hire you will forfeit any deposit or hire charges already paid (all the requirements are on our our FAQ’s, hire agreement and will also be emailed to you at the time of booking)


You will receive periodic email reminders regarding final payment. Full payment is due no later than 21 days prior to collection of the vehicle. Failure to clear the balance of your booking within 21 days of the hire commencement date will result in the vehicle being made available for other hirers and you will forfeit the deposit you have already paid. 


The security deposit of £1000 is fully refundable (Within 7 Working Days of the return of our vehicle) providing the vehicle is returned in the same condition as when you collected it and at agreed date and time unless otherwise agreed in writing by Venture Motorhome Hire


Late returns will be charged at the rate of £50 per hour, or part hour.


Force Majeure

We will make always make every effort to ensure that the reserved Motorhome is available, occasionally due to circumstances beyond our control, it is not possible to supply the Motorhome you originally booked we will supply an alternative of similar size and layout. In the unlikely event that Venture Motorhome Hire cannot supply a replacement vehicle, we will refund any money that you have already paid to us. Venture Motorhome Hire will not be held responsible in any way for compensation of charges & expenses for anything other than the vehicle we were unable to supply as.  circumstances out of their control.


Venture Motorhome Hire recommend that the hirer takes out cancellation insurance.



All Motorhomes are insured on a fully comp basis for the named driver/s during the hire period. Only drivers which are on the booking form and have provided relevant proofs will be permitted to drive our vehicles.  Additional drivers can be added at an additional cost of £10 per day per person. 


A refundable security deposit of £1000 is payable upon vehicle pick-up. In the event of an insurance claim, the full £1000 will be taken to cover the full insurance excess.  Any damage to the vehicle during the hire period that is not covered by an insurance claim will be deducted from the refundable deposit; this will include any loss or damage of the vehicle or equipment. You will be liable for the full cost of any damages or costs incurred that are not covered by insurance or excess


The hirer must not leave the vehicle unattended whilst cooking appliances are on. Fire damaged caused by neglect will incur an excess of 25% of the vehicle value (in the case of a total loss) for which the hirer will be liable to pay.


The hirers insurance is only valid for the period stated on the hire agreement unless an extension is agreed in writing. If the insurance has lapsed due to late return then the hirer bares all liability for any damages or losses incurred by venture motorhome hire 


It is illegal for anyone not named on the hire agreement to drive our vehicles. Non named drivers will invalidate any insurance claim and the hirer will be liable for the full value of any damage or finacial loss incurred by venture motorhome hire. 


During busy periods our motorhomes are booked back to back. If we have to cancel another customers hire due to an unauthorised late return then you will be liable to pay any losses relating to the cancelled booking.

Every accident or any damage must be reported to Venture Motorhome Hire immediately by telephone. Any damage to tyres, windscreen, fire damage caused by neglect eg (cooking) and any theft of personal property is not covered by our insurance. Any such damage shall be at the hirers expense. Venture Motorhome Hire recommend that the hirer takes out their own personal belongings insurance. No monies can or will be refunded if an accident occurs in which the holiday has to be cancelled. Venture Motorhome Hire cannot be held liable for this regardless of blame.



Hire Limitations & Liabilities

Venture Motorhome Hire accepts no responsibility for replacement vehicle costs, travel or accommodation costs or any other loss claims arising from a Motorhome breakdown or accident (however breakdown cover is included)


The Hirer:


  • Is liable for any cost incurred for speeding or parking fines, congestion charges or any other offences committed against the Road Traffic Act Regulations.

  • Undertakes responsibility for the control of the vehicle on hire to you.


  • Is liable for all overhead damage to the vehicle resulting from any accident.  The maximum height of the vehicle is clearly stated.

  • Shall not carry more passengers than the seating capacity of the vehicle, as defined in the vehicle specifications or allow the vehicle to be overloaded.


  • Shall ensure that the driver and all passengers required by law to do so shall, at all times when the vehicle is being driven, wear the seatbelts provided.


  • Shall not use the vehicle to carry passengers or goods for hire or reward.


  • Shall not,  remove the vehicle from the UK mainland unless agreed in writing with Venture Motorhome Hire.


Breakdowns & Accidents

In the event of a breakdown or accident, a recovery and repair service is provided via the AA or RAC (details inside vehicles). You (the hirer) are authorised to spend up to £100 on any necessary repairs and/or replacement parts, and we will reimburse you only on production of a valid VAT receipt. This excludes repairs to tyres, windscreens or any damage caused by misuse or neglect of the vehicle. Any repair above £100 will have to be authorised by Venture Motorhome Hire. 

The Motorhome and its contents remain the property of Venture Motorhome Hire at all times.  The hirer is required to keep the vehicle securely locked at all times when it is left unattended, and to refrain from any action or omission which may prejudice Venture Motorhome Hire rights to the vehicle.


The following are strictly prohibited in our Motorhomes; Venture Motorhome Hire reserves the right to retain in part or whole the refundable deposit if additional deep cleaning or repair is required upon return of the vehicle due to:


  • Smoking

  • All pets or animals (unless expressly agreed with Venture Motorhome Hire beforehand)


Venture Motorhome Hire reserves the right to vary rates and conditions at any time.


We allow customer to park 1 vehicle at our premises per vehicle hired. This is done at the customers own risk. Venture motorhome hire will not accept any liability for any damage to  customer vehicles. 


Vehicle Conditions

By signing this hire agreement the hirer agrees the vehicle and its contents, free from defects or damage. A damage form will be filled in, agreed and signed before the vehicle leaves our premises.


We advise customer to thoroughly check the vehicle and also take photos before leaving our premises to ensure any previous damage is noted. 


To avoid extra charges the vehicle should be returned to us in the same condition as it was handed to you on the day of collection 


All our motorhomes will be supplied with a full tank if fuel and should be retuned with a full tank of fuel. If you return the vehicle short of fuel you will incur a £30 refilling charge plus the cost of the missing fuel.


The hirer will be liable if incorrect fuel type is used.


Although we check all vehicles before every hire It remains the hirers responsibility to maintain vehicle fluids and periodically check the fluid levels, oil, water, tyre pressures etc… 


All our motorhomes will be supplied with a complimentary 6kg gas bottle. If you require more gas this will be your responsibility to purchase more. These can be purchased at most petrol station and leisure shops 



Strictly no pets unless previously agreed in writing. A minimum £250 charge will be deducted from your security deposit if you are found to have breeched this term without prior consent.



No Smoking Policy

It is against the law to smoke in hire vehicles.  You will forfeit your entire security deposit if any evidence of smoking is found inside the vehicle



We do not allow any of our Motorhomes to Music festivals unless by prior arrangement in writing. The security deposit will be increased to £1500 for festival hires due to the increased insurance risk posed by this type of hire




We will do a DVLA drivers search on all named drivers.  You must provide us with the DVLA driver’s code at time of departure.   To receive this code we will need a note of your National Insurance and Driving Licence Number.  All named drivers must be between the ages of 25 and 75, of good health and have held a full/valid driving licence for at least three years. The licence must be clear of any endorsements apart from up to six points for Speeding Offences, if there are any other current endorsements special conditions may apply. All licences required must be produced at vehicle collection; if this is a photo-card licence you must produce both the card and the counterpart licence. All information on the licence must match those of the details given in the hire form. We will also require a photograph to be taken at the time of pickup of the named driver(s) for our insurance purposes; this will be kept in our records and returned to you at the end of the hire period. 


Persons with serious convictions within the last eleven years will not be permitted to drive the hire vehicles (including drink driving offences). Visitors from abroad (does not apply to EU Countries) are advised to obtain an International licence. It does not automatically disqualify you from driving if you do not meet the required criteria, but we shall need to refer you to our insurance company to check if they will offer insurance cover.
